Biography:
Having been a keen clubber and DJ from the mid 90s, Mark's passion for music has always been in the blood, transfixed by the sounds of the UK's leading DJs, household names like Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren and local DJs such as Col Hamilton and Chris Cargo.
Mark has been DJing across Northern Ireland and abroad for many years, running his own club nights in Belfast under the name of Futura and more recenty co-promoting an up and comming clubnight in Turku, Finland, (Liquid Crystal Sounds) where he regularly spins , breaks, melodic electro and different genres of house, from chilled, dubbed out house to twisted tech house, progressive and minimal trance. Mark is always searching for the more unique sounds and fresh producers. Artists such as Milton Jackson, Jimpster, Tom Middleton, Francois Dubois (Funk D'Void), Jim Rivers & Guy Gerber regularly appear on his sets.
He has played with many local Northern Irish DJing talents including Stevie Jones (DertyFusion), Gareth Hogan (Shine) & Ali Catin (Yum Yum, Solstice, Liquid Crystal Sounds) as well as some top Finnish DJs such as Defa (Pinky), Aki A, Alex Kuunari, Ali Catin (LCS), DJ Progression (LCS) and Homegrove.
Mark loves to play sets that are both uplifting and imaginative. With so many producers to choose from Mark never limits himself to one style. His music always reaches beyond those regular record store titles, keeping him ahead of his contemporaries and with 7 years DJing experience behind him, there promises to be an exciting future ahead for this dedicated music lover.
